When we first heard that there was going to be a World Aeropress Championship Book, we weren’t quite sure what to expect, but after getting our hands on a copy, we think this may be one of the coolest coffee books out there. The book is published by the same independent organisation that oversees the Aeropress Championships. The tome’s primary purpose is to share the recipes of each national champion of 2017 in Seoul – which it does with in an easy to access and elegantly laid out format, allowing the Aeropress-owner to try out the best brewing recipes from around the world.
There’s much more than just recipes to this book however. You get to see photos of each of the national competitions featured and even the posters used to publicise the events. The book is also interspersed with interesting pieces about the world of the Aeropress and speciality coffee, as well as some witty and delightfully irreverent commentary from the organisers and publishers. Also including fun factoids about the competitions, interviews & the occasional four-letter-word for emphasis, this book authentically captures the fun side of contemporary coffee culture.
